While living in Toronto, in the early 1990's, I became friends with Steve Martin because we were both addicted to the music of ALAN PARSONS. Steve is the creator and webmaster of the official fan site for Alan Parsons (TheAvenueOnline.info). He has actually even become a friend of Alan Parsons! What a lucky ducky! In October 2004, my friend Kathie Anderson and I met Steve Martin for lunch in downtown Toronto. He showed us his album of photos from the Lisa & Alan Parsons wedding. Yes, he was at the wedding. Thanks to my friend and ghost photographer, Kathie Anderson, for taking this photo of Steve and me.

Attached is a graphic collage I did from a screen
capture I took of one frame of a video
( http://youtube.com/watch?v=0X4HAIwJBEU )
of Alan Parsons performing his hits, "Sirius" and
"Eye in the Sky." I noticed, at this point in the
video ( uploaded by http://youtube.com/Mathelito ),
that the shadow cast by Alan Parsons looks like a
shadow that would be cast by Darth Vader.

Therefore, I called my creative [observational] adventure
"DARTH PARSONS (Graphic Collage)" by JTK.CA
also giving credit to YouTube and Mathelito

Toronto's historic old architecture of the RBC Dominion Securities building was actually picked up and moved, being fused together with the futuristic skylighted design of the galleria in Brookfield Place (formerly BCE Place). And, in case you're disoriented, I've fused together two of my photos of this old-new fusion into a diptych.

"Thief In The Night" was in my senior solo art exhibit, my graduating semester from Valparaiso University (www.valpo.edu), Valparaiso, Indiana. My 1995 Bachelor of Arts included a major in ART (with a GRAPHIC DESIGN concentration) and an individualized minor in THEATRE AND DANCE. A friend, who was also the wife of a professor, loved "Thief In The Night" so much, she ordered a framed print of it. This was a nice surprise since I don't think I had even been offering it for sale. Both the caption, "Every Knee Shall Bow," and the title, "Thief In The Night," are taken from Scriptural references to the Second Coming of Jesus Christ. This is also my mother's favourite work of mine, so I gave her a framed print as a Christmas or Birthday gift.

Yes, that's cellophane tape holding the ducky's head on. One day, I was walking out of my bedroom with the duck in my hand and accidentally broke off his head on my door jam. He's still an excellent lint brush though ;-)
